This is a very well done advertisement for tourism in Victoria. I only wish this was a promo for a summer movie though. I could definitely see an excellent plot coming from this ad.

I never thought September could be so exciting...

For more info, check out Rue's website. The details were discovered here.

And another note on magazines... the print ones I decided to subscribe to centuries ago (last month) are now piling up! House Beautiful and Country Living, get ready, I plan on reading every single page this weekend!

Photography - Finding the Line

Katelyn James did an incredible post on "finding the line" in photography. If you get a chance, make sure you read it. Its interesting to see how "the line" is used in fields other than interior design. Also check out her photography. Her work is great, and what an inspiration she is!

I also wanted to post one of my all time favorite photos, below, from photographer Stacey Kane. What a great example of "finding the line." Its perfectly summery and will put you in a great mood for the weekend!

Happy Friday!

PS - Free design friday is happening again today and will continue through the weekend. Leave a comment and be entered to win one room of E-Design. The winner will be chosen by random.org. Take a look at this fabric from Christopher Farr.

Indigo and Sage are my favorite colorways of the above design, "36 24 36"

But its hard to choose a favorite design when every single one is lovely.

Blue & White

So I already posted a little red today, how about some blue and white? I'm loving the paisley fabric for summer. And the white ruffles add the perfect amount of femininity to any room.

These bags and pillows are now available to purchase in my etsy shop.

Happy 4th of July weekend

Happy 4th of July weekend! Last night I made strawberry sorbet using our new ice cream maker. I used the raspberry sorbet recipe provided with the machine, but it was waaaay to sweet. Next time I'll cut back on the sugar.

Some of the sorbet flavors I have in mind for the summer are ginger, blueberry, strawberry basil, and dark chocolate. I also want to learn to make lowfat frozen yogurt with fresh fruit. Perhaps peaches and mangos? Yum!

Have a safe holiday weekend. And make ice cream!
